Reviews from real customers have always drawn more attention than even the most detailed product description. Still, it may be a challenge to get a few because of classic customers’ laziness. Not all of them will leave a comment if not asked directly. Now you have this possibility without constant monitoring of the clients’ buyings.
Review Reminder has an option allowing for quick enabling and disabling. So, if your temporary want the extension to be turned off, for example, when you perform testing or redesign, you are able do it with few clicks. It is quick, easy, and doesn’t require any complicated manipulations with the extension.
Set a particular status which will receive reminding emails. Decide which status better suits your store and enter it in Review Reminder. Choose among seven possible options and set it in your store.
Review Reminder doesn’t send requests immediately - it works with cron jobs and up to the scheduled time a client’s order is kept in a database. When the time approaches, the status is being compared to the one set in the settings. There is a possibility to indicate several statuses that prohibit email sending. For example, if an order is already declined, a client will not receive any email from Review Reminder. You are able to set up to seven statuses at once.
Not many people will do anything voluntarily. Review Reminder allows you to present a discount coupon to those users, who have left a comment. Just turn the correspondent feature on. You are still able to ask for a review giving no reward as well.
Adjust the coupon the way you like - create your own price rules and assign them to your coupon; set prefix and suffix of a coupon; choose a code format. Choose those options you find convenient for your users.
You can make Review Reminder emails recurrent and your users will receive your review requests several times. Set the exact period you find the best.
Set the address from which a letter will be sent, an email template, the address for a recurrent and grateful emails. Moreover, if you wish to control the extension work, you may add your own address in a copy so as to receive these emails too. You configure everything here.
Review Reminder extension allows you to monitor all the orders that are on the waiting list for requests sending. Along with orders themselves, you will see the necessary information about their condition: the order’s number, client’s email, presence or absence of a coupon, the order’s status, and its periodicity.
If you need to send emails to a particular user, you may set his order in the table manually. Review Reminder also supports this function. Moreover, if you wish to edit the existing order, it is still possible. By clicking on an order, you will see its number, client’s email, and status on a separate window.
A Black list feature in Review Reminder allows you to prohibit receiving reminders for emails you in Black List. For example, why to send emails to a client, who has never left any comment, yet still buying products. Add the client’s email address to the Black list base and he will never receive your reminders.
In order to reduce load on your server, you can set cache lifetime f or this extension. It means for how long cached posts will remain. After the time expires, it will be deleted. A nice and easy option created especially for better work of your server.
Even before enabling the extension, you should add a new block to allow the display of products in the clients’ emails. In this regard, go to System > Permissions > Blocks. Add new block here and call it “neklo_reviewreminder/email_items”. Don’t forget to Allow it and Save. Take notice! Your clients won’t receive any emails if they haven’t Signed Up for Newsletter.
To find Review Reminder main configurations, go to System > Configuration > Neklo > Review Reminder > General Settings. The first thing you see there is the field “If Enabled”. This option is responsible for general extension appearance. If you want to quickly enable or disable Review Reminder - use this configuration.
The next two options deal with order statuses only. “Generate Review Reminder” sets the order status, which transmits emails to Review Reminder database for further reminders sending. “Don’t Send Emails by Orders with Statuses” regulates the number of statuses that will never get reminders. As Review Reminder works with cron jobs, this option is needed for those orders, which has changed their status during appearing in the extension database.
The next configurations allow you to configure a delivered coupon. “Generate Coupon” enables the Coupons function as a reward for left reviews. “Associated sales rule” is responsible for the coupon and discount rules. Create the set of configurations you like and the assign it to your Review Reminder coupon.
The last options in this tab are responsible for the delivery time of reminder emails. “Send emails X days after order” regulates the time, when the reminder email will be sent. “Is recurrent” regulates whether the email will be periodical or not. Then you can set the exact time of periodicity in days with “Repeat every X days”. “Maximal number of attempts” regulates the number of emails a client will receive. After that, the sending will be ceased.
If you proceed to the next tab by following System > Configuration > Neklo > Review Reminder > Coupon Generator Settings, you will come across the coupon settings. “Code Length” here is responsible for code in general. Set the desired number of symbols in your code. In “Code Format” you can set the appearance of the coupon code. It may be in alphabetic, numeric, or alphanumeric.
The following options “Code Prefix” and “Code Suffix” are responsible for correspondent parts of the code: a prefix and a suffix. In “Dash Every X Characters” you can set the number of symbols after which a dash will appear. If you leave this graph empty, then there will be no separation at all.
The next tab here is responsible for general email settings. Just in case, it is located in System > Configuration > Neklo > Review Reminder > Email settings. Here you can set all the needed email templates and sender email. The first graph here is “Email Sender”. Here you can set the identity of an emails sender.
Further in this tab you will find settings for email templates. “Email Template” sets the general reminder email that a user receives very first time. In “Recurrent Email Template” you can set the template for a recurrent email that your users will receive after the first letter. “Thank you email template” is responsible for the grateful letter your clients will receive after they leave a review. Another feature implemented here is “Send copy of email to”. If you want to receive a copy of these letters, enter your email address here and save the changes.
If you follow Promotions > Review Reminder, you will come across the table with the reminders in process. You will see all the necessary information about them: a reminder ID (its numerical order), its number (Order #), the client’s email, its date of creation, coupon settings, the number of sent emails, the reminder’s periodicity and status.
This table was made not only for monitoring. You can edit any displayed there order and change its status. You can also create an order manually by clicking on “Add New” button. Here you can set the order number and status of a new order.
Review Reminder also supports Black Listing. So, if you want to release your any client from getting your emails, just add him to the Review Reminder Black List. Go to Promotions > Reminder Blacklist - here you will see the table with all the blacklisted users. You can add another one by clicking on the button “Add New”. After that you will appear on a page, where you should enter the client’s information: his email and the reason for blacklisting if you want.
