Every orphan in the world needs help, but what one can do for these children, bereft of parental love? For 5 years already we have tried to do our best for these kids our way. We collected money and bought things the orphans may need. In this year we did it for Borisov Orphanage and here is our little story.
15th of June was a gloomy and rainy day - the weather wasn’t friendly at all. That is why our trip was even more important as in such a day we wanted to give these children a bit of joy. Actually it was them who shared the joy with us - they very active, cheerful, and communicative. Right after we entered the orphanage, we became surrounded by the kids. They were talking with us, hugging us, and asking to play.
“Someone has come to visit us?”, said one of the little kids.
These things you will always remember. We were happy to receive such welcoming.
You know, when you see these small and kind eyes, something changes inside you. You become filled up with both happiness and sadness equally. Happiness appears when you see how cheerful these little angels are. And sadness comes with realizing that they don’t have a family in a traditional sense. That is why our main goal is to do as much as we can to give them a full life.
We know that material things can’t replace parents, but it can make the life of these children a little better. In the end, every kid has a right to happy childhood. With the money raised we could buy some things: a couple of playhouses, kinetic sand, musical carpet, LEGO, a huge basket for toys, personal supplies, and a lot of sweet things. There were many infants, so we were very careful in buying treats. For the orphanage we also bought some tools for cleaning surrounding area. We wanted to buy things they needed, so we called them in advance and asked about it.
In general there are 62 children in the orphanage, 12 of which are infants. The situation with orphanages becomes better from year to year as more and more children get to adoptive families. It is a good tendency, but there are still many kids in need of aid. We hope that this little story has inspired you to raise some money for kids or help them another way. You can join us or do it separately - it is only the result that matters. If at least one child becomes happier, then your efforts were not in vain. This alone makes the idea worth trying, doesn’t it?
